![]() Donald and Margie Cook Donald and Margie Cook are Associate Members of RéP - an organization aimed at re-purposing business and transforming society. (see: www.repurposing.biz) As part of the RéP Community Track, Donald and Margie have a vision to help people by providing low-cost housing, providing appropriate education and encouraging industry. Their purpose is to help people to become self-supporting and dedicated to Jesus. To achieve this, they teach workers to construct houses, to manufacture construction-related items and start their own businesses. Donald is the founder of Endeavor Science, a technology company focused on applied technology and education. Don has developed a number of low-cost construction related products. Donald pioneered chemical engineering education at the Cape Technikon, South Africa where he served as Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering. Donald has industrial and managerial experience in the soap and detergent industries, the oil industry, construction and civil engineering. Donald and Margie have been married for 35 years and are the parents of Andrew, Jo-Ann, Megan and Iain, and parents-in-law of Anthony Cawood. As a family, they are excited about worshipping God and seeing the spread of His Kingdom. They have traveled extensively and have all had experience in Christian outreach and teaching in various parts of the world. Margie is an accomplished teacher and encourager. She was involved in starting a Christian pre-school in South Africa and helped to grow the school that Andrew, Jo-Ann, Megan, Anthony and Iain attended. Margie is passionate about Christian family life and has taught Hospitality and Christian Leadership to a wide variety of adult groups internationally. Margie is also experienced in business development. She administered her own Swim School for a number of years and is currently owner of Family Heirloom Albums which markets and creates high quality family photo albums. Margie and Donald are currently visiting India and are involved in community development and business development. Their base is Kailua Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. Since moving from South Africa to Hawaii in 1998, they have been involved in setting up Endeavor Science, developing an International Leadership Training facility and helping to establish a local Christian congregation.
